This is what I found 10 minutes before we had to leave for Reilly's gymnastics class. Really Max?

I guess babies love guacamole.
Yep, that's a tomato hanging from his nose.

oh the weather outside is frightful

A few shots of my backyard this morning.

I think i need some of this...

advent calendar...

This year we're doing things a little different. Now that we have Elf on the Shelf, he's inserted himself into our Advent activities.

So.  Everyday, Ting-A-Ling (our Elf on the Shelf) leaves a little note in the Advent calendar giving the kids a clue to where their Advent treat is hidden. He also takes this opportunity to give the kids a little recap of what he's witnessed (their behavior... good & bad) & what he's told Santa. Here's the note the kids received on day 4....
Today I am a little sad.
I saw some things that were kind of bad.
Cooper please don't slam your door.
That behavior is very poor.
Oh Reilly, how you like to pout.
These things I had to tell Santa about.
Santa knows you can be nice,
so find a surprise where Mommy keeps spice.
-Ting-A-Ling

This is note they got the next day...
I'm so happy as I write this letter.
Your behavior has been so much better.
You both should be super proud,
and Santa was very wowed!
Here is your next clue,
find a surprise in a room that's blue.
-Ting-A-Ling

There has has been far less fighting and sassing in our home. Thank you Ting-A-Ling!

trouble maker

I knew something was wrong when my house was suddenly VERY quiet. When I turned the corner, this is what I found! What the hell was I thinking. Right? Did I forget I have a 10 month old little tornado? I guess so, because I left my current Petite Papier stationery orders on the living room coffee table.

  He looks so proud. Ugh.

but wait there's more...
When I finally finished cleaning up Max's first mess, I went into the kitchen to find this...

First, please note the baby lock on the cabinet. Oh ya, he's that talented!
Second, thank God that spray bottle is filled with water.
Double ugh.

fixed...

well, maybe not for long...

How can I tame this little monster?

thanksgiving table

This year was the first year in 5 that i hosted Thanksgiving. I was very nervous, cooking for both my parents and my in-laws. Well. Honestly, my Dad was in the kitchen a little more than me. But hey, I was the hostess. No?

Here are some photos of our Thanksgiving table. I was going for a white on white look with a pop of green. I thought it was pretty.

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I know i did. I'm a very grateful Mother, Daughter, Daughter-In-Law, Sister, Aunt and Wife!
