scene - my toyota sienna

coop: you know mom, when i grow up i want to date grace.
(a girl in his pre-school class)
me: really? what about emily?
(crush from last year)
coop: oh, i will date her too.
me: coop, you should really only date one girl at a time.
coop: ya, but... i don't really think that crosses the line.
me: (a little surprised) what line is that?
coop: you know, the "you can't marry your sister" line.

now... imagine me trying to contain my laughter.
then grabbing my iphone to call dan and relay the story.

and because i believe all blog posts should contain photos.
enjoy two inspiration photos for the new house....

  1. The marry your sister line....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA LOL, that is hysterical!

  2. that is too funny!!!!!!!!!! Crossing the line.;)

  3. OMG, that is so adorable, I can't stand it. You have to remind him of that when he is dating! Great photos btw, yes, you are right, all posts should have photos.

  4. Great story..and great photos!!
    I'm inspired....
    Enjoy the day

  5. That is too funny! where do kids come up with this stuff! ;) And, picture #1: LOVE it. Picture #2: LOVE it.

  6. So funny and I love that first pic!

  7. So good to write that adorable stuff down so you don't forget. Love the inspiration!

  8. You could totally do that second picture!!! The house has that exact space. Can't wait to see how you transform that place. And Coop's story is priceless. Sounds like something Dan might say??

  9. Thanks for all the comments friend. My sister is feeling better, but I think there is something going on with her not having held Charlie yet. I wonder if she is nervous to or not...I don't know. I am trying not to push it, but I don't understand it. Anyway, Charlie is actually doing well. She said his oxygen levels are awesome after he is fed (breast milk through a tube). So, that is great. Anyway, thanks for praying and thinking about them. means a lot! :)

  10. HI Erin, I just found your blog form clicking all around. Your post is hilarious, my Parker would totally say the same thing, my kiddos are the same ages as yours. And we are trying to sell our house to move closer to my husband's work, I am so looking forward to reading more about you, sounds like we have some things in common.

  11. Those inspiration photos are beautiful. Good luck with your new house. This is very exciting.

  12. Oooooh, I loooooove that eating nook with the bench seating. Great find!
